This is a cast iron ice cream churn coin bank that is in excellent condition and comes with the original key.  This is not a reproduction.

The churn handle still cranks freely and there is no damage to this interesting bank.  The seams are very tight and secure.  It comes with the key, and the base is hallmarked with the patent date of "Feb 2 1875".   The front has raised lettering that says "Save Your Money And Freeze It".

This is a very heavy piece, as it is heavy cast iron.  It has a slot in the top for depositing your coins and the base is where the coins would be removed using the key to open the bank.  It measures approximately 4 inches by 2 3/4 inches across the top.
